I went there 2 days ago to see the place with FH. First let me say....the view is gorgeous. You are really andf truly paying for the view of Huntington bay...cant be beat!!!
The inside is rather modern and tasteful...almost a club-like feel to it, if you know what I mean. I guess it all depends on what atmosphere you are looking for. The cocktail hour is upstairs and the reception is downstairs, 1 wedding at a time.
They are also unique in some of the stuff they do for you....like hand out Apple martinis to everyone walking thru the door to your cocktail hour. They also have a large variety on the menu possibilities. The only downside I saw was again, you are paying for the view...the facility itself is very nice, but I wasnt knocked out by it. A little too clubby for me. But overall, very nice!
I hope that helps you at all??

Do you mind sharing some other places you are looking at? We have an appointment at Woodbury Country Club this weekend.

I did book there and I can't wait. The view on the harbor is worth every penny and the food that we had at a tasting was yummy!

We have a tasting this weekend. Very excited to see it set up for a wedding! Have you called Montauk Yacht Club? Afraid it's going to be too high!

I didnt call Montalk Yacht Club....its too far for many of my guests. Are you having your ceremomy at Harbor Club?
Also, I have heard only good things about it. We went to many, many, many places and none compared.
The staff has been wonderful everytime we have gone there and I am glad that we went with our ' gut'

I went to WCC too and it was way too pricy for us even with the BM taking things off that were ' included' to lower the price.

Re: Huntington?
We figure WCC will be high, but we want to look at something that's not on the water. The Yacht Club is far from us too. I actually called yesterday and there's no way we can afford....I know we'll find something!!

Re: Huntington?
Yup, reception & ceremony will be in one place. It's an interfaith wedding.

Re: Huntington?
We were suppose to do the ceremony there but I wanted to take pics by the beach or the vanderbilt mansion and I refuse to let FH see me before the ceremony. Now we are having our ceremony elsewhere.

Re: Huntington?
I was there this past Saturday for a wedding!! I had so much fun and the food was really good, the staff realy nice and upbeat, willing to do whatever you asked to make sure you were satisfied.
The sunset behind us as we ate dinner was so beautiful, and they had an indoor/outdoor cocktail and got lots of pics with the harbor and sunset.
FH and I had looked there but they have a limit of about 200 if that helps!

I am glad to hear that the wedding was good there. Out of curiosity, what did the people have at their cocktail hour as the stations.

Re: Huntington?
the chocolate fountain looks sooooo good! i thought the back area was small, but the two patios made up for it. the sunset water is what makes it totally appealing. i can't image how beautiful the pics would be! as i said, we're seeing a few more places tomorrow. have a great weekend ladies!
