Huntington Hilton
Has anyone stayed at the Huntington Hilton? We are considering staying there for our wedding night.

Re: Huntington Hilton
I have 2 times. My law school has its annual formal dinner there so we get a room. I have never stayed in anything other than a standard room. The service is fine and the rooms have always been clean. I think they are comparable with any hilton hotel. I can't tell you about the suites though.

Re: Huntington Hilton
We stayed there on our wedding night, and did not like it AT ALL. We had a King Size Bed, with 2 pillows. When we called downstairs to housekeeping to ask for more pillows- they told us they would 'work on it.' We never got them. Also, room service was closed at 11, and we were starving. The restaurant in there was also closed. My hubby had to go to 3 different floors to find a vending machine that even WORKED! Also, some of our guests left us a bottle of champagne at the front desk that we were supposed to receive upon check-in to drink on our wedding night. We didn't get it until we Checked Out! WE have emailed Hilton to complain, and to date have received no response. We are Hilton Honors members too, and it still stunk.

Thanks for your input. Does anyone have any suggestions for a hotel in Eastern Nassau or Western Suffolk County? We are getting married in Oakdale.

Re: Huntington Hilton
Just wanted to add, because I was shocked to see someone else complain that I had a problem as well.We had our Rehersal at HH and it was excellent, Guests stayed at HH thought it was overpriced but they were from out of town and enjoyed themselves, breakfast buffet was great or so they all said and in laws had a little party there during the break and everything was lovely and decorated nice.
But for a wedding night don't even get me started.
We arrived pretty much at the same time as our guests, luckily 2 other people let us cut them (I mean, duh I'm in a big white dress and my husband is in his unifrom... you know why we are waiting!) So, we get up to the room and we had the jr suite (which was nice, but nothing great but we got a good deal we also were supposed to get the honeymoon package with it (which was basically just champange)
So, we rush to check in and threathen the front desk not to reveal our room notice on the elevator no champange but could care less because our hall gave us some and we had some in the getaway car.
We get to the room no champange no nothing, So.. long story short we could careless put on my pinwoir (sorry not sure of spellling and as I come out in it and we kiss the damm phone rings) We get ****ed at hotel because we figure its family that tracked us down kidden with us, calm down fast and answer it and guess who it is... Well it is the HH 'um, we forget to give you your champange we just sent someone up they should be there soon!'
So, we said no no problem but it was on its way' no sorry..
So what can you do now, so were both ****ed and we wait, it arrives about 10 minutes later (which sorry it should have been up faster) there is a knock and we ignore it, well it is our wedding night and the knocking doesn't stop so I raced up in my sheer robe and answer the door and grab the bottle and close the door.
In a nutshell we were ****ed because they never apologized, we could have cared less at that point and they said we were getting it because someone was on their way and that person still took 10 minutes so they could have stopped them. And we'll bad timing all around.
I know the other girl complained she never got it, till real late well believe me you didn't want it when we got it either.
It ****ed, but got over it real fast.
I don't reccomend and found it unprofessional especially for honeymooners.
Huntingtion Country Inn on jericho looks good though IMO

Re: Huntington Hilton
I haven't posted in a while, but I had to add my 2 cents...Don't book the HH...It was the only part of my wedding I regretted. I think the people above have said it well...
We didn't even get our champagne...nor a congratulations, but instead we got a cold breakfast, and attitude from the staff and a $200 descrepency in the bill...
my sister used the huntington country inn...but I think they are very unorganized (they didn't keep a record of who booked from the guests and they didn't give the welcome baskets to all the guests)
I think one of the guests said the coffee in the morning was horrible too..
good luck...I would try the Wyndam Windwatch in Hauppauge

Re: Huntington Hilton
We had a junior suite on our wedding night - the room was very nice and our champagne was there on ice. I have to say I was not impressed with the sales people-- they would not add in a free brunch or lower the group rate for my guests. The brunch was good- its a very nice looking hotel - I did hear some of my guests complain about service.
