Huntington Townhouse FeedBack.

Original post by Spot12905

Just wondering if anyone was there for a wedding or something else? How is the service there? Or anything else about it?

I went there first when I went looking for halls - the Man we dealt with was so obnoxious and sneaky and snake-like I walked out.

i think you are talking about Steven???

Nope, you have FM

If anyone goes, speak to Ellen Rose - she's supposedly the best Banquet Manager.

Re: Huntington Townhouse FeedBack.

This is just my opinion, from the perspective of a guest....please note that I attended a wedding on a very busy weekend (last summer--Labor Day weekend)....and maybe things were just off that day...

When I first arrived, the number of events taking place all at once made it confusing...I didnt know where the ceremony or reception was....it wasnt easy to figure out because it was SO crowded. There was a point where there were two brides in the foyer at the same time, standing about 15 feet apart from each other.

The ceremony room (once I found it) was very nice, very pretty.

After the ceremony, I started following everyone (all the other guests) to the rooms where the CT & reception was to be. We walked (for a LONG TIME! The place is huge! ) through some hallways that were under construction! The walls had unfinished paint jobs (with only primer in some spots) and electrical tape on the carpet. I honestly couldnt believe it, but maybe this was a very temporary situation. Maybe the people I was following took a wrong turn or two, and we shouldnt have been in those halls...but IMO, they should have been closed to the public.

Food was very good at the CT hour, fair at dinner. One unique touch at dinner was that they put trays of hot appetizers in the middle of the table, in addition to the salad.

The last point I remember was the bridal suite...it wasnt pretty...definately no pics could be taken in there. It was more of a storage room where the bridal party stashed their overnight bags, toiletries, etc.

Hope this info helps you.....
Like I said, it was a REALLY busy weekend.

Steven is obnoxious, because of his attitude I almost didnt book there but my mom really liked the place, now I'm second guessing my decision. I'm having my wedding on July 1, 2005 on a friday, should I have valet parking since I heard it might be really crowded because of the July 4th weekend. Help and confused
