Because there isn't one and we should get one too!
I'm having my ceremony in the gazebo and my cocktail hour/reception in Townhouse/Governers (I'm not sure which is which). I think I'm gonna take a picture of me making out with the gold cherubs! Anyone?
For instance, where are you taking your pictures? On the Grounds or in a park closeby?

Re: Huntington Townhouse Thread
Thanks for this thread!!!
I have no idea where we are taking our pictures. We haven't discussed all that with the photographer yet. But everywhere you look is another beautiful picture spot. I love the water fountains with the rocks in the Governor's room. Since our wedding is early April we are planning an indoor ceremony. We have the Chapel upstairs, with the skylight. Our cocktail hour is in the Townhouse room, right next to the Chapel. And our reception is in the Governor's suite, too. We loved the huge shylights in each room. It gives it an airy feel, even if we are inside. And they said that if the weather is nice we may be able to go out onto the veranda outside the Townhouse room, so that will be nice. This whole place is so gorgeous. We were even there for New Years' Eve. Everything was fabulous, from the food to the service. The only complaint I had was the DJ they chose to use, Precision Sounds. I am glad he is not my DJ. FM me if you want more info.

Hi! I am getting married 9/24/04! We are having the ceremony outside, but if it rains we will get whatever chapel is available. The cocktail hour is in the Penthouse and reception in the Crystal Ballroom. I am very excited. I can't believe I am getting married THIS YEAR!

HTH people with receptions in the Governors:
What's the max people allowed in the Governors? My minimum is 120 - what's yours?

Sounds really nice Charlotte How is everyone decorating the Gazebo? I don't think I am going to do anything, maybe 2 altar arrangements.

Re: Huntington Townhouse Thread
Our minimum was 125, but we are probably looking at more like 175. The guest list grew alot in the last year since we booked the hall. And don't worry about expanding... the Governor's suite can open WAY up. The walls fold in if you need more room. On NYE they had the whole upstairs room opened into one big room with over 1200 people there. It's the same like when they open it for a vendor showcase if you've ever been to one there.

I don't think so either. I think just 2 arrangements up from, that we can then bring in and reuse maybe on our table! One less thing for me to worry about!

Re: Huntington Townhouse Thread
Does the HTH have an option to get a Chocolate Fountain? I have not been able to stop thinking about getting one since the GTG!

Re: Huntington Townhouse Thread
Well Ms. Ellen Rose our banquet manager (she is a hoot) said not to do anything. I'm thinking of a 5 candle-candlebra for my unity candles it stands almost 4-5ft high and two altar baskets and a few pew bows...August the garden should be teeming with flowers and greenery so I don't need to go overboard but we will see as the time draws near. I know the one thing I want for my guests are oriental paper fans they have a beautiful flower design on them and we saw some bubble bottles in the shape of roses absolutely beautiful I'm trying to keep with the rose them as much as possible it will match our programs as well

Re: Huntington Townhouse Thread
We are getting married in one of the indoor chapels. It is the one that has the white cage in the front. The cocktail hour is in the room with the skylights, not sure of the name and the reception is in the grand ballroom. Scott
