Hurricane Ivan

Hurricane Ivan

They are calling for sun for next weekend's weather but the Hurricane's path put's it in the Carolina's around Wednesday.

I am just so worried that it is going to hit with rain just in time for my wedding.

I told DF I didn't want a Sept. wedding for exactly this reason.

God I hope they are right, accuweather shows it straight up the coast.

Florida has had enough....send it to Mexico...or anywhere but North.

UPDATE........Live from CNN it has shifted west, supposed to go to Gulf of Mexico...pray it keeps that way!
There isn't time for another to form and make it to NY if that one leaves

Okay, for you ladies, I hope it does NOT rain on your wedding, but my dad lives on the Gulf of Mexico and he just went through Charlie and I don't want him to get hit w/ Ivan. He lives on the beach and he could loose his home....

Wow, you ladies are rough! LOL I live off the Gulf of Mexico in the panhandle of Florida and I would never be happy to see it go somewhere else. I just want them all to weaken.

I got married 9-27 of 2002 and my honeymoon was a cruise out of New Orleans to Jamica, Caymens and Mexico. It drizzled the morning of the wedding but was a great day as of 10am and there were hurricanes hitting New Orleans as we got married but everything in the Gulf and Caribbean were perfect for our honeymoon! And boy, was our cruise cheap! lol

Obviously none of us brides wish a hurricane on anyone, that's just common sense.

If they could all just disappear that would be great!

So far the weather for next week is either party cloudy or sunshine (depends on what website you look at) and 72-74 degrees.

good luck to all of you next week!!! i have been checking the weather all week long, and i am OBSESSED with the weather channel. i literally watched it for 3 hours the other day!!! pathetic, i know.
as much as i say i don't care if it rains, i totally do!!!!
i'm keeping my fingers crossed for us and for those living down there.
only 8 more days to go!!!

I am upset again. It looks like it will turn when it hits FL and move up the coast. They said we will have the same heavy rains as Frances late in the week.

It will be near GA Wednesday so I guess it will hit NY by Friday.

OKAY This will make EVERYONE feel better. Exactly one year ago almost to the day, I was in the same boat you were in. Hurricane Isabel was headed for New York and guests were telling me that they might not be able to make it, the news sent me into major depression and vendors were even talking about cancelling and it, in the end, was nothing.
Never even hit NY. We did not lose one guest and the sun was out the whole day, september 20th was beautiful beautiful weather all around. To laugh, go do a search on Hurricane Isabel. This time last year, so many of us echoed this sentiment. Kind of spooky. I promise, it wont touch us. I will put money on that.
