Hyatt Regency AKA Wyndham Windwatch - I WORK THERE

I started my P/T job there tonight. I never had 2 jobs before. Hope it works out.

I am excited though that I will get to meet some LIW girls who are going to stay there for their wedding night.

I know there is one girl getting married there next year I believe.

It was fine. I was training. My manager asked me to stay 3 1/2 hours with the 'switchboard operators' to learn the phones.

I go tomorrow. I wonder what I will be doing tomorrow

By the way, I will be working the Front Desk

Are they changing over their name to the Hyatt? Are you talking about the hotel is Hauppauge?

I didn't have the best experience either...They gave me double beds on my wedding night!!! When we walked in the room I wanted to scream...I called the front desk and she apolgized and sent someone up with a new key to a different room. Then when I got my credit card statement, they double billed be....they said I had 2 reservations and I didn't cancel one of them.

a few of my guests got bumped

and they had a HS reunion the night of my day in the terrace cafe area - the music was SO LOUD that no one could hang out in the bar area and hold a conversation

i hope hyatt makes some improvements...

Yes, I believe they are working on that (to improve that is)

I work for the CVB during the day and the Hyatt is mainly going to be P/T during the weekends I believe, maybe a day or two during the week after my day job.

Yes that is the one on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge. The Hyatt bought Wyndham in mid August.

Congratulations Jola...and best of luck. I work 2 jobs as well, and it is not bad once you get used to it...I think it took me 2 weeks to get used to the schedule.

When it was the Marriott Wind Watch, I used to work there as well. I worked downstairs in the restaurant (J&W's I think it was called). It was also a 2nd job for me (I was also a manager @ McDonald's..) I was planning on going into restaurant management but ended up teaching. I worked @ Marriott in 1995 and IMO I hated it!! I hated my position and the people I worked with. I only stayed for the summer! McDonald's was better (believe it or not) and thats where I met my DH!!

OH MY GOOOOODNESS...

WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!

I am exhausted. My first 8 hour training day, mind you.

Not to mention there were 3 wedding parties there. One bride actually having her reception there. It was crazy for my first day out in the front desk.

I have never been on my feet all day before. My feet are killing me and I have a headache also.

Definently a multi-tasking job...

Ughhhh..... I hope it gets better...
