Hyatt Regency Resort & Casino Aruba

Can anyone tell me good or bad things about this resort? Fh and I are thinking of booking this hotel for our HM and I was just curious to hear some feedback.

Also, how long is the flight to Aruba from NY?

Thanks girls, you guys are the best!

I did not stay at the Hyatt there, but we did visit it... Beautiful resort!! The sun in Aruba is INSANE!!! Overall it was nice, but I probably would not go back to Aruba. It is very small and IMO not much to do unless you like to gamble. We rented a car and drove around the island which did not take up even a whole day. I think it's probably nice for just relaxing as a couple. I went with 5 girls though... and we got bored at night!! It was about 5 hours away.

I think the flight is 4 hrs or so!
My best friend stayed there and :LOVED IT!
Hyatts are generally great hotels and resorts...

Good Luck!

My best friend just stayed there (while on her HM) a few months ago and raved about it. Honestly, she had nothing but good things to say.

I know FH wants to rent jet ski's, I think I read on their site that they do rent them so that's a plus for us.

As far as a night life goes did they have a club or a lounge w/ music does anyone know?

Maybe 10 days is to long for Aruba then.

We went to aruba for our honeymoon and stayed at the hyatt... we loved it and had a great time... it was great to relax on the beach or by the pool, food was great, there's a little shopping area a couple of blocks away and good restaurants around the hotel... it was great for us cause we just wanted to relax and be very low-key... dont really remember about the night life, we aren't really club people so at night we just went to restaurants and stuff, walked around the shopping area, one night there was a water show, etc

I used to go to Aruba when I was younger with my family and we always stayed at the Hyatt. There were always a ton of people at the outside bar of the hotel every night. If you go in to town there are also bars that people go to--carlos and charlie's--esque. I don't remember the specific names. There are also a ton of great restaurants on the island though some can tend to be pricey.

I was just there in August and FH and I stayed at the Radisson one night and then the Playa Linda for the rest of the week with my family. All of these resorts are on Palm Beach in Aruba. The beach and the sunsets are out of this world. We always tried to leave the beach before sunset, but its hard, especially during happy hour I've been to that part of Aruba 3 different times over the past 5 years. And since my first visit, they have definitly built up their night life. They recently opened a Senor Frogs and a few other night life spots in that area, which is within walking distance of the Hyatt. There are various bars in the area, but it can be quiet on the weekdays. The weekends are usually hopping. You can also go into town where there are a lot more bars. Aruba is gorgeous! One of my favorite places to go and you will not be disappointed by the Hyatt!

There was a club in the hotel next door...the hyatt had a casino in it..when u come out of the hotel to the left like two miles down...there was a square with many restraunts n shopping...there's senior frogs and a cigar bar with live entertainment across the street from el gaucho...that's all we really did at night when we went but there's also bars
