Hyatt Regency Windwatch Hotel in Hauppauge - room question???

Has anyone dealt with this hotel before? I want to block off some rooms for my wedding, and get the cards to send out with our STD's. I left a message last fri, no call back. I spoke to a girl today, who promised I would get a call back to arrange everything, and I've heard nothing. Is this what I can expect, when dealing with them?

This hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are only $105/night. I would really like have friends/family stay here, and well as FH and I, but they cant even return a call.....

We used them. You have to keep calling them, and make sure that you get that rate in writing. We had some similar issues in the beginning, but in the end Laura Quaranta helped us out. Try to get a name and stick with that one person. Sometimes you get told different things by different people.

The rate you are quoted is based on the occupancy of the hotel at the time you book. As rooms are booked, the rate goes up and they charge more per night. They will also negotiate with you depending on what other competing hotels have quoted you and on how many rooms you block. We booked about six months in advance and got $117 a night. Our block got filled up quickly. Some people called the week before the wedding (three weeks after the deadline for the special rate) and got quoted $178 a night.

$105 is a great rate! Try to get it locked in as soon as you can.

In the end, all the quests had good things to say about the hotel and we didn't have problems.

that is a great rate. We are using the Holiday Inn Express and were quoted 159...

Used it, loved it.

Dealt with someone that doesn't work with blocks anymore and she was AMAZING.

Don't give up on them!

We used them and they were great. We worked with someone named Constance Verdin, I dont know if she is still there. She responded to email very quickly so you might want to try that avenue and see if you can reach them.

I agree dont give up on them people loved the hotel and thought it was very nice. It helped to set a nice tone for the weekend.

We worked with Connie as well and she was very helpful.

I asked for the cards and they mailed them out pretty quickly.

They ended up reducing the rate for our block because the hotel reduced their overall rates for the weekend between when we had blocked and when our wedding was.

Find out who the sales manager is and deal with them directly.
