Hyatt vs. Four Seasons in Maui

FH are starting to plan our honeymoon. We want to stay in Kaui and Maui. We will book the Grand Hyatt in Kauai but am debating between the Hyatt or Four Seasons in Maui.

Any one recommendations for the Hyatt and Four Seasons are helpful, pros/cons.

Thank you!!

Re: Hyatt vs. Four Seasons in Maui

I stayed at the grand hyatt in kauai and the four seasons maui. We LOVED the four seasons maui. They had the best breakfast I have ever had! Very attentive, beach was beautiful. Do not spend the extra money on partial ocean view, it really is partial. Either splurge and get ocean view, or save the money all together!

The grand hyatt in kauai had a good breakfast as well, but the places to eat for dinner/lunch were $$ and not very good. The hotel was huge and we did not get any special consideration being honeymooners (this is my second marriage). I would recommend staying in a smaller boutique hotel in kauai, there are several of them, unless you like being in a bigger hotel, it depends what is important!

Re: Hyatt vs. Four Seasons in Maui

We stayed at the St. Regis in Kauai so I don’t have any feedback on the Hyatt but we stayed at the Four Seasons Maui & the hotel was beautiful! Make sure you get free breakfast included in your stay… the breakfast is delicious but had it not been for free, it would have been $80+ a day. The adult only serenity pool is great too but you literally have to be downstairs at 6:30/45am and wait in line in order to get lounge chairs, since they are limited. Overall we thought the service at the St. Regis was better than the Four Seasons (our room at the FS would sometimes not be made up until 4/5pm) but you can’t go wrong with FS.

Hyatt vs. Four Seasons in Maui

Thank you so much!!! I'm going to see how much of a price diffence and go from there. I have my heart set on the four seasons, hopefully it will work out.

I’m sure it’ll work out for the best!

Btw – I see you’re getting married at Nicotra’s… I was actually at Above on Saturday night celebrating my friend’s birthday. It’s great that you can go upstairs for an after-party once your wedding is over.

If you still need a hair salon for the day of, I highly recommend House of Trends. I used them for my wedding & loved them!

The above is beautiful but when I booked my wedding it was just getting started with construction. I'm definitely going upstairs for the after party. Thanks for the hair recommendation but I'm having someone come to the hotel.
