Hybrid vehicles.

I drove one when I commuted from HUntington to South Jersey every day. It really didn't save that mush. When you're doing 55-60mph, the gas engine is still working just as much as a regular vehicle. The real savings I saw was when I was in slow traffic - then you'd be working the electric engine and not using gas. I'd recommend them for city use - but not so much for regular use - - - - - - although they are more environmental-friendly....so if that's your concern, then go for it.

I had a Prius - it drove great and was super comfortable for long rides (though I wouldn't want to be hit in one).
