Anyone using them in their bo-k? I really love the way they look but someone told me they don't hold up well.. What are you guys using?

Well, when I spoke with my florist, he told me that if you are having a summer wedding, your best bet was not to use hydrangeas in bo-ks because they can wilt very easily due to the heat. He suggested using them in the CP's, since they will be hydrated. But I see that you are having a December wedding right? Well I don't see why you couldn't use them in your bo-k.
i think that regardless of the season they will wilt in the boK (obviously they will wilt slower in december). i was dead set on having an all hydrangea bok but now im having roses with hydrangeas throughout. all the florists i met with (except 1) advised against it.
they're my fave but only using them in CP's for that reason. i'm using viburnum in my bo-k instead.
Just an fyi they even wilt in the cp. A friend used them in her cp and by the end of the wedding they were already starting to brown. I took the cp home and the next morning they were completly brown and had to 86 them HTH
just be careful when you take your bo-k outside. flowers wilt easily in the cold. a friend of mine told me to put a plastic bag over my bo-k when i was traveling outside in order to make sure the flowers didn't freeze and wilt. Two of my bridesmaids and I listened to that advice and everything was fine. My sister, of course, marched to the beat of her own drum, and quite a few petals fell off before the ceremony.
