hypothetically speaking, what happens if a girl gains weight between the time she orders the dress and it comes in? what if the dress that's ordered is now snug as opposed to big? I know brides normally lose weight around that time but I was just wondering..

Re: hypothetical dress question..
It depends upon how much weight and how generous the seams are on the dress. If possible, the seamstress would let out the seams. If there's not enough material there, they would have to order more fabric and make a panel to add to the dress.

Well I'm kind of going through that right now. When I ordered my dress it fit perfectly and now it's too tight.
I bought the dress a while ago and I just returned from a two week road trip and cruise and I gained some weight so it doesn't close all the way. Realistically though, I have another 4+ months to get into killer great shape for my wedding so I'm not worried. It's just no bs eating!
OK, I'm curious because when I ordered the dress I was lighter than I usually am. When I got engaged we were in Punta Cana and the food at the resort was not the best so I probably ended up losing a few pounds between that and being busy with wedding planning. I asked the lady if I still have room to grow and she said yeah no problem. I would say I would normally be 8 pounds heavier so at my height (5'8) I doubt it makes much of a difference in terms of the dress size.

Yeah they can probably let it out a little if necessary
