Probably around 50-75 dollars...enough for a mid-range appliance and some wishing well items.

Re: Hypothetically speaking
definitely on the higher end of the spectrum....something very nice....or a few things. I'd say $200-300
you gotta remember its for THEM not the girl your bro is marrying.

I definitely agree with you that it is a gift for THEM. I would def go above and beyond for my bro and his fh...hypothetically speaking.
I'm just wondering what others think is the right thing to do.

Re: Hypothetically speaking
I'd do anywhere from $50-$100 for the shower. I'd save up the big money for the wedding gift

I don't think you are cheap! Some might call you frugal No, but seriously, don't break the bank BEFORE the wedding, right?!?

Re: Hypothetically speaking
Go with what you're comfortable with! There's no right or wrong answer, especially when you're planning a wedding yourself. But to actually answer your question, if I could afford it, I would spend at least $100, if not more. I have a soft spot in my heart for all things bed, bath, and beyond.
