I accept the flaming that will follow this post...

but I find it remarkable that the folks who create the most are the ones to complain about it most vividly with that drama exists.

She wants to put up (this is based on this big wedding that was written up in Town and Country weddings) like green silk all over the walls with tons of flowers and candles and transform the space. It is actually kind of romantic and she hs this remarkable plan -- it is just not me. I am one of those get married in a backyard girls.

DebMaher-- I hope you do NOT take this offensive or personal but I have got to say this or it is going to kill me. While I agree that it is extremely hypocritical to start drama and then complain about it. I just also feel like threads like these are unnecessary and meant to start some sort of drama. When you started this...you had an idea that you would get flammed, so my question is why post it?
The 05 board has been through quite it's share of drama and I am hoping it ends and soon but with a thread like this...how could it?
Please don't hate me or take this the wrong way, I just felt like my opinion needed to be brought out in case anyone felt the same way.

I agree with Flaca...we don't need more drama on the 05 boards and threads like these cause controversy...especially when I thought the drama was squashed last week.

Flaca (edited to say, et al): No flame, I hear you and completely respect what you have to say. I wanted to be open about my feelings on hypocrisy. Other people I respect have asked me to be general when I make such a point so to honor their feelings, I remained neutral and just stated my opinion (punctuated with a cute smiley). I would hope there would be this openness in a forum; the ability to vent without flaming but since it so frequently follows (flaming of the poster, that is) I acknowledged up front that I was willing to take what was coming next. I do think as long as it is not insulting, even a controversial statement should be alright without judgement.
To respond specifically to your post, I would never take as personal your posting your opinion.Of course, you and all our wonderful girls are entitled...that is the beauty of the open forum. It is when people post one thing one day and then act another way that gets me which is all I was commenting on. That is part of a forum too, being true and in this sense, being supportive. Meanness, even if due to a lack of experience or understanding, stinks in any setting.
Again, I would never hate anyone for posting their genuine, heartfelt opinion about anything. I would also not expect someone to 'hate' me for doing the same. It is what makes me a better friend, FI, daughter, and colleague -- speaking up for something I view as wrong.
Going forward, I would hope there would be no nonsense. Indeed, after expressing my opinion one time, which I did, I moved on. Flaca, let's keep enjoying each other and this process. I feel fortunate to have found this board and the daily dose of pleasure it brings and I hope to not have cause to vent about such things again. Peace to all and much love.

If possible - I am in complete agreement with Deb and Flaca.
I would hope that one could say what they think - respectfully - with out getting flamed. IMO - what good would the board be if not to share an honest opinion?
Now back to planning!

i also think topics like theses are a set back and do not see how any good can come out of it. Why not FM someone if you have a problem with them? Maybe you would actually realize that their intentions are possibly not as you percieve them to be.
i also feel that maybe you havent been involved in the actual drama, but you sure have a way of starting it!
