You've all been so helpful and supportive I just have to share my worry...hopefully it will make me feel okay. I just finished addressing most of my invitations (I hand wrote the addresses out) and while talking with my FI realized that I didn't write out New York, I put NY instead. My FI started absolutely laughing because he can't believe I would worry about this and said anyone that has that much time that cares how we wrote out the state is silly, but I realize it's incorrect and hope it's not considered a 'huge' deal. He made me feel much better when he told me to remember what this wedding is really about and to try and stop worrying about all these details because what's important is that we're getting married. What do you think? Should I panic?

I do not think you need to worry. I bet most people will not even notice.

Please don't worry about that! It's such a minor detail. You're right that the most important thing is your marriage, not the addresses on your invitations. Relax and smile! You're almost there! : )

The post office will love you for it!!! It is easier for them to read the address as NY than New York.If anyone else has a problem with it..well, they need to get a life. I wouldn't worry about it. It really isn't a big deal

Oh my goodness! PLEASE do not worry over such a tiny tiny detail as that! I have been invited to about 5 weddings in the last year and (sorry to say) I never even looked at the envelope or how/where it was addressed. I was just happy to be invited and excited for the couple! I try to keep sane during my wedding planning by trying to think of all the details I didn't notice by going to other people's weddings. It really does help Everything will turn out wonderful...I promise! You will have a beautiful day. Try to remember that it is YOUR day and anyone that complains about anything as small as that is not being very considerate to the bride and groom.

Don't worry I also did mine that way last month! I was so worried about everything else I completely forgot to spell New York out. No-one has said a word to me I'm positive no-one noticed!!

You shouldn't worry about that - anyway it's too late!
I did my own too. I used a smaller font than I probably should have. Oh well too late!

You're all so right. Thank you so much. In addition to writing out my invitations this week, I started a new job today with a 1 - 1 1/2 hour commute so it'd be ridiculous for me to be worrying about this. :) I mailed my first batch of invites today and I'm really very excited. Thanks again all of you.Welcome New Vendors
