Hello ladies! I am recently engaged (5 days) Been dreaming of this for so long and I thought I would be so organized and I have no idea where to start! The only thing I know is that we want to get married next summer! So, I am praying that my fellow brides will help!
Is there any place I can go to get some prices for catering halls? I don't want to have to go to each of them.

Congrats and Welcome!!!!!!! yaaaaay! well first i would say just enjoy being engaged for a little while :) THEN go find ur hall! after your hall is booked, then everything else can be done. I HIGHLY reccomend picking up the 'Locations Sites & Services' magazine....u can find it at most large magazine stands(in eckerds, cvs etc.) in the bridal section...Borders carries it as well - It lists every single reception venue in New York, what they offer, TONS of photos, and their price ranges(some even list their menus!)...its a great way to find what ur looking for and narrow down all the best & happy planning! anything else just post away

I got a magazine Newsday, Long Island Weddings. It has pages and pages of rhs and info for each of them. It says that Leonard's is $55 and up. I heard that they put their cheapest prices in the books to get people in so you should estimate a little higher. Good luck!

Congrats!! Are you looking for something by the water? Something with gardens? Leonards of Great Neck is beautiful! For some that don't know thats where they filmed an episode of the Sopranos!! I work next door and watched them everyday!

The first few days are wonderful --- I agree with the girls who have suggested you relax and enjoy it when you can. It's easy to get caught up in the details and forget a little about the love and the happiness of the engagement.
That being said, Wedding Sites and Services is a great place to get price ideas.
