I am about to explode!!!!!

Anyone else on the verge of punching someone??? I think I have reached that point of ulimate wedding stress. It is first of all hard to plan a wedding- and even harder when you live out of town and the people you are depending on to help out do nothing! My shower/bachlorette party are on LI on Aug 4th- have any of my bridesmaid been contacted by my MOH or anyone (many of which have to fly in)...NO. Has any planning been done for my shower yet....NO. My Fi''s bachlor party was suppose to be the same weekend in Alanta...that way I would be gone and they could all crash at our house. Well since the BM has not contacted anyone either- one of the gromsmen had plane tickets for another event and another groomsmen- wants to go to a Phish concert so he said he can''t come. Well if they had been told the date 4 months ago when we picked it- we wouldn''t have this problem! So now it is going to be a weekend when I am there- which means I either have to leave the house for the weekend or be there when they come stubbling in at 4am all weekend long- which I know will cause some sort of arugment. No matter how hard I will try- I will bet anything that my Fi and I will end up in some sort of a arugment if I am there which will ruin his time. Is anyone else experiencing the 'not getting along so well w/ my Fi b/c we are both so stressed out' phase yet? Well it's not fun! I feel like this is just not any fun anymore- all I do is worry that stuff is not going to get done-and there is really nothing I can do about it b/c I am so far away. I never thought people who agreed to be in a bridal party would or could be so difficult and demanding. The weddings I have been in- I have just done what people wanted- even if I didn''t agree- but I guess some people are too self absorbed- if you agree to be part of the party you agree to do everything involved. Not ask people to plan everything around you. I am not sure if this all made sense but I needed to vent! Thanks Ladies!!!

Take a breath and relax. For that weekend of Aug 4th stay at a friends or family members house or hit Disney or Miami Beach. You can't control everyone and everything in your wedding. I learned the hard way. My wedding is Oct 7th and 2 of my bridesmaids have not ordered their dresses ,one is MIA in Florida, left messages w/ mother (info on dress style and where she can get it a month ago still has not called me). MOH has been bitchy w/ me for two weeks and have not gotten her dress as well. I've had Bm's complaining about the amount of the dress and the styles. Well I put my foot down told them what styles I wanted and the prices were reasonable, if they didn't like it they were more than welcomed to attend the wedding as a guest. Stressing over things like this will make you sick it's not worth it. If it came down to me not having any BM then so be it, I refuse to stress over dresses!! If your party can't get it together fine, just remember whose getting married, whose going to be the Princess for one day.. SMILE :)

I thought I knew the deal on my shower and remember moaning & groaning to my now husband about how every other shower I've been to seemed to have more of a plan to it. Poor me, right? Well guess what, I didn't know the half of it, so try not to let yourself get crazy and don't let the stress make you say or do something you don't want to to the people in your life. It will all be beautiful and will blow you away in a way that is never forseeable. best wishes

I hear you loud and clear!!!! only my mom has a lot of demanding on when and where and yadda yadda about my shouwer and she is not giving my bridal party a chance!!! she also doesn't like my maid of honor and thinks that i should have picked someone else and is making that clear in her actions!!! Plus...i lost my job because my office relocated and i can't find anything else and with the wedding only about 3 months away who's gonna want to hire me when i gotta take off right away!!! than we also have the he's stressed / she's stressed syndrome!!! i'm besides myself lately!!!! I'm happy to hear that i'm not alone!!! Good luck girls!!!

ok take a deep breath! I am newly engaged.. about 4 months.. I have moved to NJ (yuck) got a new job and my FH and i are living together.. my future mother in law wants me to sign a pre nup, and my mother is driving me up the wall.. and my FH just sits on the sofa and watches TV, and i am still adjusting to living with another person and shopping and cleaning and laundry!!! we are trying to plan the wedding, the church is set (9/14/02) both of us hate the church, because my mother had a fit when I wanted to do the wedding in NJ and not Long island where I am from..so we settled my point.. weddings can drive you crazy, mine has already, but you have to find peace in yourself.. i have taken up jogging to releive the stress and remember why you are doing this in the first place.. not because you want to have one great day, but a lifetime of great days!! good luck.. and remember when things are important, stick to your guns! the church was not as a big deal for me, so we settled, but the reception is something I refuse to settle on!!! you go girl!!
