I am back and my wedding was a BLAST!!!!
After the wedding and the honeymoon and trying to now get this house in order - I can totally see why brides dissappear after their weddings and don't post their reviews until months later! Who has the energy???!!!!
Well - a quick recap -
My wedding was August 6th at Martha Clara Vineyard. An outdoor Tent reception and somehow we found favor in some higher forces eyes because - IT WAS BEAUTIFUL WEATHER!!! How the heck it happened is beyond me. Friday was cruddy. Sunday was cruddy. The following week was 100 degrees and humid. We are soooo lucky and greatful!
Anyway -
Things went wrong at the church. No one told the bridal party when to walk in so they just walked immediately after my MIL who was supposed to then go up w/ my husband and light a memorial candle. While they were doing that, the whole bridal party was crammed up front b/c they all just rushed down the aisle leaving NO space between themselves....![]()
Then, the limo driver never put out the aisle runner. Then Chris responded 'Yes' instead of 'I do' which caused me to panic and I decided to keep it consistent and just said 'Yes' also...![]()
Then the priest forgot to formally tell us to kiss, so we had two kisses - at the 'peace be with you part' b/c the priest told us to kiss then and then at the end when he told us to kiss again! whatever...![]()
Then, someone forgot to bring the bubbles so everyone is standing outside like - okay what do we do now...so no bubbles![]()
Well, that is the church stuff. The reception was awesome and I will do a review soon. but here are some pics (I hope)...
The first is the table - you can see the hydrangea centerpieces and the table names I made (from italian cities w/ a pic of an italian painting or statue for each one) on the gold easels. then I had menus, cd favors wrapped in gold satin and little gold bags w/ the traditional 5 almonds w/ a description of the traditional meaning behind them.
