My husband got a job in Connecticut (as a chiropractor) and we bought a house...ALL IN THE SAME WEEKEND!!!!
I am finally going to be a homeowner.
And we'll only be TWO hours away from Long Island (and our family) instead of 6 (or more)!!
Wahooo!!! I can't believe it. We close on the house the first week of December. Mike starts his job before that though, so I will be on my own up here for a little while. I just put in my resignation at work today. Ahhhhh!!! I'll be a stay-at-home MOM!!!!!

We bought a 3 BR, 1.5 bath Colonial. It is beautiful! Here is the description:
Lovely three bedroom, 1 and 1/2 bath colonial. Includes a large living room and a new family room with skylights. There are oak hardwood floors throughout and tile in the 1/2 bath and foyer. The house has recently been painted in beautiful neutral colors. The dining room has a built in hutch and the third bedroom has a built in hutch/dresser. There is a new wood pellet stove in the family room and gas heat throughout the house. Sunny fenced in backyard with a deck and an above ground pool with an attached deck. There is also a shed to store all outside tools. Newer roof and windows along with a brand new water heater. Plenty of storage space in the basement! Mint condition!!!
