I am back from a NCL cruise on the NEW Norweign Dawn... ,my review!

Just got back from a cruise to the western Carribbean, on the brand new Norweign Dawn. We left on 2-15 and got back late 2-22.
First off, I have to thank u all for your support on getting on a plane. The ride down was flawless, except the charter plane. World Airways was a bit small, that is the seats- we were traveling with 5 people, and even the smallest most petite person felt we were squeezed into tiny seats, etc. The ride home was better except for the turbulance- that was scary!
We arrived in Miami on 2-15, and the weather was warm, we got to our room and it was pretty big as well as the bathrooms were laid out well, no shower curtain sticking to your body when u showered, they laid out the bathroom so someone can go to the bathroom and also someone else can take a shower at the same time, there were privacy sliding doors. The cabin had a fridge, and a coffee maker, and the staff was very nice. They even knocked on our door to introduce themselves.
there were about 9 speciality restuarants on board as welll as the main dining room. There was original artwork under lock and key on board in the french restaurant. I ate dinner under a Van Gough!
We enjoyed all the speciality retstuarants we went to- Japenese, French, Chinese, and Tex Mex. The on board photos we not too expensive, we figured we would buy the good ones and then copy them at CVS for less $$$. The boat is brand new, so there are still a few problems with there computer billing on boArd- EE- I got charged for a shore excursion I did not regsiter for, after a bit of a hassle they took it off, I had my priorities- I was shopping!
I enjoyed Grand Cayman and got some great prices on my jewelry for the wedding as well as other pices of jewelry, I enjoyed rafting on the Martha Brae river in Jamaica, but did not like Mexico. I used my crdit card in one store in Mexco and they tried to charge me 3 times!!! My credit card company stopped the charge ASAP! It was a hassle to prove who I was in Mexico while on the phone becuase the credit card company wanted my SS# and I would not say it outloud in Mexico for fear of my # being stolen, I had to add my sister to my account in order to straighten out the whole mess, word of caution in Mexico use ALL CASH! I also did not like being huzzled to go into a shop and a salesman even though I was still walking and minding my own business put his arm around me, I told him to remove it or I was going to hurt him, so did FH, he removed it immediatley. Do not wear jewlery in Mexco, I am glad I did not just a watch just a word of Caution. Just my opinion. The ship was beautiful , it was feestyle dining, but I do not want to go on another NCL crusie line again, just soured by my last trip with them over last summer on The Norweign Sea- old boat, spoiled food, no aircondioner, and smelly hallways. This ship was nice , and brand new, food was good, etc. I hope this helped anyone who is thinking of going on it. I was told it will soon be sailing form NY. There website is www.ncl.com

YAY!!! So glad to hear your cruise went well.
How was the freestyle dining experience? Did you go to the restaurants where you had to pay a price fixe?

I forgot to add there was a cover charge in some of the restaurants- the French one was 12.50, the Tex Mex no cover charge, Cagneys steakhouse 17.50 cover charge, Tapanyaki was 10.00, the main dining rooms were no cover charge. It was nice to be able to wear resort casual for dinner, and they did have an optional formal night.
