to another wedding at 11:30 at the Crest Hollow.

looking forward to this one. the place my brother chose treated them terribly. and their guests. It ******.

the Crest Hollow was nice. food was good and there was a lot of it.

far cry from the Peak n' Peek resort.

My bro's ceremony was very nice and personal (even though the Catholic priest of their town would not stand next to the Baptist Minister- his wife is baptist , my bro was upset about it)

the reception hall was GALLING on many counts.

these primarily:

they called my bro the day before the wedding and told them that they could not guarantee the A/C would be working (and it was very WARM this weekend) but instead of offering any type of apology, the words immediately following were 'but it states in your signed contract that we are not responsible'

so basically tough shinnookies...there is nothing you can do about it.

also, they bride and groom were responsible for the set up AND clean up of the room (and this was an affair catered BY the hall...not a loft type of thing or raw space thing)

they only serve beverages for 4 out of the 5 hours, even though it was a cash bar, and the Bride & Groom had to choose when they'd like the bar to close (they chose during dinner)

the food was AWFUL. the potatoes were very undercooked and everyone complained. the the bride's MOTHER brought it up to the Banquet Manager, he said the potatoes were supposed to be 'al dente' she was like 'whatever'.

service was just unacceptably poor.

we all still had a good time though (can't keep nutty New Yorker'd down)

my bro wore his Marine Dress Blues and Holly looked lovely in her dress. the bridal party looked very pretty. she did a great job with the details. Had the Peak not been royal fukkwads, it would have been a great great time.
