I am begging for a little help here...(long)
Hello again everyone.
I know this is supposed to be on the charity board, but I also know that hardly anyone goes there on a regular basis. This seems to be the most looked at board on the site.
So here is my request...
My friend is walking in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day walk on August 6,7 and 8. I am working crew for the same walk. I am going to be doing water deliveries all three days. From what I understand (after I signed up for it) it's going to be back breaking work. I am all for it. My friend that is walking was diagnosed with breast cancer last March. She had type 3 cells out of 4 types. This means she has one of the most aggressive types of cancer cell there is. She went through a lumpectomy, six months of chemotherapy, a mastectomy and radiation. She has at least six more months of an experimental type of chemo that may help prevent the growth of her cancer cell type. This is all while her husband and two children stand by and watch.
All of this background is to beg for a donation. I don't care how much anyone gives, I really don't. I have a goal of $2000 to raise and I am just begging anyone to give anything. I would really appreciate it if anyone could go to the website linked, check it out, and if you can, make a small donation.
I thank you in advance and I am sorry to put this on this board but we need all the help we can get. I don't want to see anyone else I know get this disease, it is just too horrible to see what it does to a person.
