I am beyond nervous..

Ok so realize... it has only been 1 month into the school year... less than that actually.. 20 days. and I am being observed tomorrow!! for 50 mins!! UGH.. I mean being new to the school this year, and with my school having OCD high standards... the AP and principal pop in EVERYDAY for a few mins, as they do to other classes.. Anyways, I told the AP today to get the cold pack ready because expect to see me passed out during my lesson..
I am soo soo nervous... I already told my students that the AP is coming in because she wants to see what a well behaved great class this is and tell the rest of the 4th grade classes lol One says: 'Will they have their notebook with them? and is the Principal coming also?' loool

Anyways, please please please wish me luck... I feel my heart racing

Thank you ladies.. I mean who does observation two weeks into school?!?! UGHHH!! I am still trying to get all my groups together.
I pick up my students at 8:30am and my observation is at 9:00am... literalllyyy as soon as they unpack.

OOOH I know the feeling - I HATE getting observed! Once it's over it is such a great feeling!!

I am supposedly getting observed this week also by my principal and then the Superintendent probably in November. I am not allowed to know day or time for either. My principal pops into most classes basically every day...I don't know how she gets any of her work done bc she is NEVER in her office...especially when I need her to deal with a kid who kicked, punched, or spit on someone

best advice i ever got- just PRETEND youve got your act together!!! if a bird flies in the window, a kid pukes, you bust the seam in your pants and then your garbage goes on fire, all you gotta do is pretend you got everything under control. hahahah
i know that sounds totally nuts, but being a teacher for 8 years now (holy cow!!!) and working my way up the ladder, i swear by that. i sit in on a lot of observations and do a lot of interviewing in my building, and they have crazy nuts high standards too so i can sympathize with the pressure situation. dont be cocky or anything, but showing that you are comfortable with the kids and can keep your cool no matter what speaks volumes.
