I am doing labels for addresses for my invitations

I am doing labels for addresses for my invitations

is this really bad?
I really dont have extra envelopes and i dont want to risk them getting jammed in the printer...
and im not spending $300 extra to send them off to a caligrapher (sp?)
Can someone tell me its ok?

Is it better to handwrite them? I have nice handwriting...

I am also doing labels! Personally - its just easier and i dont think it makes sense to spend money addressing envelopes.

Most people toss them out real quick and never notice.

i bought my labels on labelsbythesheet.com so i only had to buy as many as i needed and i was able to get different colors to compliment my envleopes

I did clear labels from staples.

I really don't think it matters, I have gotten A LOT of compliments on my invites (which were really cheap) and no one has said anything about the labels.

Personally, this was one way I was able to save money which was really important to me, rather have more to spend on areas that matter more to me, i.e. honeymoon.

IMO I think labels are fine. The envelope goes in the trash!!!! Other people feel differently, but in the end its your invitation and your $$.

Staples has a ton of labels. Get the clear and use a fancy font, that can look just as nice as calligraphy.

You say you have nice handwriting, why dont you test a few and give those to close family. Plus your hand might get very tired after doing all those envelopes.

I hand wrote mine, and I do not have nice handwriting.

i feel like my direction cards from chateau briand arent too clear.

i actually printed all of mine on my HP 3in1 printer and had no problems. It was really easy, just time consuming

i did a sample on a reg envelope and it got all scrunched up in the corner. i hate that.
that always happens when i print envelopes

It's fine to do labels but there are places that you can mail the envelopes to that will ink print the addresses on to the envelopes for you and it is MUCH cheaper than a calligrapher. Just thought I'd throw the suggest out there. I think a popular company that does this is called inkspun?
