I am exhausted!!!

I am exhausted!!!

I envy those with family and friends helping with the wedding. All my bridal party is out of town or not involved (really only his brother is near us).

We have to do everything ourselves.

We were up until 2am on Saturday just to begin the process of the menus. We worked madly since early that morning just to get the table seating, place cards and list correct. It’s a lot of work.

Went out on Sunday to buy our Chinese fan, look for more ribbon (ran out) and started with the morning with printing out the last of the menus, slicing up paper, setting ribbons and finishing them. Took the fan and the menus over the hall, set up a mock centerpiece and showed how the placecard table will look.

We are both EXHAUSTED! And we both have the beginnings of a cold. We only ate once a day on both days and that was well after 7pm. Doing all this wedding stuff with no food!

We still haven’t seen the florist or rescheduled the limo (have to since my hair and make up are being done earlier than I thought).

If I can pass on advice…

D E L E G A T E !

(PS: We finally agreed to our first song. “At Last” Etta James, I heard it on a commercial a week ago and we still hadn’t selected a song, so we just said “sure that one” heh)

ETA:
forgot to include having to wake up Saturday early to start the placecard stuff because we had to drop off all our stuff at SMCC before 4:30.

THAT meant taking apart my car (removing the back seat, literally) and packing it up to the seams.

Oh, I KNOW my wedding will go on. Nothing at this point can possible stop this train. Like usual there’s been these few last minute snafus but nothing Im worried about. I’d love to meet the bride who said EVEYRTHING went as planned from start to finish.

Im just so tired. I’ve got school tonight and tomorrow we need to finish the programs then Wednesday I have school again and my parents arrive, but Jim’s picking them up and leaving my car at the train station so I can go to school then we’ll meet up later for dinner.

Thursday starts with Tux fittings then travel to the city to be tourist and ends with a 6pm dinner in Chinatown (12-course meal) then back to Long Island and my parent’s hotel.

Friday starts with dropping off my rings for a final polish. Then final checklist of items, checking my sisters dress & shoes and my SIL then rehearsal at the hall, pick up the dress, then brining my family to Jim’s house for the ‘official home meeting’ of the families then back to the hotel for Jim & I as well, and check in. Check with the MOH and Best Man make sure they’re all set up and pick up rings. Call to verify the limo time and make sure my sister and mother have a hair person.

SOMEWHERE I’m supposed to talk to the DJ, I just don’t know when.
