I am feeling really down.....

I am feeling a little down right now..... at this moment I am not liking this whole wedding process.....

After months I still can not confirm a ceremony location.....

The church we picked won't allow a minister(different religious background) that Fh wants to perform the ceremony and if I decide to do it at the RH I will not be able to go to OWG to take our pics(which i am dying to do).......

This ceremony issue has def left a sour taste in my mouth......

Update: WE have decided to get marrid at the hall and take pics b4....

Listen, don't feel down. you still have a lot of time to plan and im sure something will work out. don't get bogged down with the wedding details.

I still have no hall. i was really frustrated the other day but then we talked about it and realized we are letting it consume us! just slow down & enjoy yourself.
can you look for another church? and what is OWG?

The whole thing is FH wants this particular minister. OWG= Old Westbury Gardens

i think there is a place i think in jericho that is jut a chapel that u can rent......i dont think it is really achurch but more of just a facility you can rent. i can look into it if you want. let me know.

I understand how you can feel fustrated & down, WE must take pics @OWG (we're members there & have been for years) what we're doing since our ceremony is at the RH is we're doing pics before. I know traditionally that's a no-no, but we're ok w/ it. We want to ejoy our CH (which we've extended by 30 min). I have a big Family & for those that have already been married (I'm not complaining) but we usully miss the CH b/c we're taking pics for sooo long (these are the wedding that we're just guest at too)... so we really didn't want that w/ our day.

I looked into the following places:

CW Post- would have been PERFECT but they do not schedule weddings in May.

Historical Chapel- Toooo small

OWG- says $1000-2000 depending on amount of people and outdoor only with tent. If i need to have more than 150 people then I have to rent a tent that could cost me approx. $400-500

Planting field- too small

I am not from LI so I do not know too many places.

Any of the privete clubs, I'm not sure what their policy's are for non -members I wil look in to this for you if you want me too.. Tan O'Shanter (in Brookville) is my fav. we were engaged there under the full moon it was outrageous

FH& I really love being outdoors & in beautiful surroundings... We live in Nassau..

I know.. most private clubs can accomadate that, the Village club, @Lake sucess can definitly, I'm not sure about sagamore Hill b/c someone I knew went to a wedding there , that's how I know that they have weddings... FH & I go there it has these beautiful paths that lead you down to the water, it's really nice , very romantic & fun. we just to have picnics there too...
