I missed this thread I am soo sorry..I'm trying to catch up on posting...but Apparently while I was gone from work my coworkers all went out and got lobotomies so I'm buried in paperwork they are not capable of doing

C...don't let this get you down. I do know how it feels..I don't have a ceremony site, well, church in my case, and it *****. FH's family has their church in Queens....but I don't get 'that feel' that I'm looking for in it. And the steps aren't pretty. FH is getting frustrated with me.......but that's the one thing...more than anything...I am being ultra picky about. I know its about what is happening and the nuptials being exchanged...but I'm looking for a certain look.

I've always imagined a cathedralish church..high ceilings...paintings....a long aisle...and big steps leading up to the two huge wooden doors. I have found a few...but either they are very strict with being parishioners...or according to FH..its too far.

So yah....its stinky...really stinky. And I know people keep saying it will all fall into place....and its easier said than done...especially when we are really frustrated right now about it...as we have the right to be because it is very much an important and vital part of the whole day...but..YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IT...YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IT WILL FALL INTO PLACE.

God(or whatever higher being you believe in) has a special place in mind for you, and the ones you picked out just aren't in his plans. So when you find the right place...it will work out...perfectly.

I am finding that right now while I am not real hot and heavy with the planning....that things are coming to me...ideas...places...vendors.....when you really aren't searching....is when things really come to you.

So maybe C, just take a break. Take a breather. Hang out.....drink a cocktail...read a book....get away from wedding planning. Just escape it for awhile....and maybe it will come to you. You still have some time so I wouldn't worry about that.

Also......I'm taking a break from working...so tell me exactly what you are looking for..indoor, outdoor, looks, location, where it needs to be...and I'll do some searching for you girlfriend.

I love ya...heads up...we're gonna be fine...you and I just happen to be some of the most indecisive and fickle girls on this board...and this sort of thing is completely normal

Thank you for feeling my frustrations.... it has been really hard.... I will take you and FH's suggestion and step back. I know things will work out fine....I guess like FH says all the time I always want things done right NOW!!!!

I will def. take a break and then see how things fall into place....afterall they HAVE to I already ahve my RH and everything else......

I think you should be bride of the week - next week... shoo' for that matter you should be the 'Bride of the Month of March'!!!!!!!

Having similar prob..my FH thinks the church family church is too ugly for pics but I don't want the RH because they set it up in the same room as the reception. Trying to find somewhere else that won't cost a fortune.
