I am floored by the audacity of one of my co-workers
I work with a self centered, ego driven moron, who thinks she is the next Sheryl Crow.
Anyway, she has been playing gigs all over town (bad ones I might add, she's TERRIBLE). So for her fliers, she wanted to put a quote from me, with the name of our company under it, saying how good her band is. I said no way, it's misrepresentation, and it can get me in trouble. I am not that important here, and it's also conflict of interest, she works here. I know it's just a flier, but when you work in music, there are just so many places to gig in NYC, and all the A&R people go to these places. I told her no. She got all huffy and ****y, deal with it.
Then she tells me to go to her website and look at it. About 5 months ago, our boss asked her to re-sing a demo for him that was originially done in a male voice. He needed a female scratch vocal just to get a point across. It was a demo of a song by a very very famous songwriter/artist, who had no idea she was doing it. It was just so the song could be used to send to someone. She did it, and it was awful. Off key, worse than the worst terrible, and couldn't even be used because it was so bad.
So I am reading her site, and she has the BALLS to say that she is A SESSION SINGER FOR THIS VERY VERY FAMOUS ARTIST/SONGWRITER.![]()
