I just got a call from my Rabbi who said that he has been trying to call my wedding hall (Roslyn Country Club) for a week and nobody is picking up the phone nor is there an answering machine! I tried to call them also and there is nobody there and no answering machine, the phone just keep on wringing and wringing and nothing is happening! I don’t know what to do!!! Anyone heard anything about Roslyn Country Club??

I ran into some friends of mine at a bar, I think it was last March????? They said they were supposed to get married at the Roslyn Country Club (in the fall???) but it went bankrupt and was closing.

Have you thought about booking at the Stewart Manor Country Club I did and they only have one affair at a time you might want to check them out, especially if you like the look of a country club.

WhatNow, I just read tis for the first time tonight, I'm so sorry for you I got married @ the Milleridge Cottage in October & they were wonderful. We booked RCC 2 yrs ago, and 2 wks later, heard horror stories about them, and pulled out. We lost our deposit, which we've tried to get back, and I guess now I can kiss that money goodbye. It's funny, because I just tried to call them twice last week, and it just rang and rang.
I know you are going through a really hard time now, but to be honest, this is probably a blessing in disguise. Better find a nicer place now, and even lose $$, than have a nightmare of a wedding.
The stories I heard include: forgetting the wedding cake, the catering manager getting drunk in his office during a wedding, the mgmt refusing to turn on AC during a summer wedding
Hang in there, and hopefully you'll find a MUCH nicer place and put your mind at ease.

We just went to a wedding 2 weeks ago there. You get so much food. There were so many courses. It is a real quaint yet such a classy place. It is different from all the other halls. The bathrooms are nice too. (Sorry I have a thing with clean spacious bathrooms).
But go on with what you feel is best. As all the other girls have said, it is a blessing in disguise. It is just a shame you have to go through this a few months before your special day.
