I am going to be a BOOTH!

I just was thinking about my LIW name - and it completely hit me that my name will be Jennifer Booth in 9 months from tomorrow!!!!!! And I just got soooo excited to be changing my name so that it matches my fiance's - best friend, my lover, my favorite person in the world. It's not so much about the name changing - although I do not like my last name now - it is about all it signifies, and sometimes the hugeness of it all hits me like a brick and makes alllll of the planning, scrimping, saving, fighting, renting in a dumb apartment with pain-in-the-*** downstairs neighbors worth it so that we can have the life we are dreaming of and share it together forever.

Thank you so much for putting it like that! We're getting our marriage license in 10 days, and I've been so on the fence about either hyphenating or changing it completely, and the way you put this, makes me see why it's so special to change my name!

Even though I like my current last name better than FHs it hasn't really crossed my mind not to change for the exact reasons you mentioned. To me it really makes for the beginnings of a family.
