i am going to kill myself before finding an RH that i love!

Original post by ooxrosaliexoo

I've been everywhere Why can't I be made of money and just book Oheka Castle! Ugh sorry! Just venting, what is the next best thing other than a Lessing's property? They will not cut down the site fee even though I am from St. John's University of the Bourne Mansion or get rid of the 1.50 per beer that is rediculous my family will send me into bankruptcy with all of the beer that they drink! I checked out the douglaston manor, it was nice, I don't know I am so lost :( I just need some advice to find a nice alternative. I am really looking for a place with nice grounds and a lot of green to go with my garden theme.

How far East are you willing to go?

You might want to try my RH. It's THE VINEYARD CATERERS in Aquebogue. Beautiful grounds, one wedding at a time, and right in the middle of Wine country! Not to mention how wonderful the staff is and how fabulous they treat you!!!!!

Other ones out here with beautiful grounds are:
-The Eastwind Caterers in Wading River
- Montauk Manor in Montauk
-Girgoio's in Baiting Hollow

Best of Luck to you!

Hey! If Russo's on the Bay doesn't work out (P.s. I totally am with you on the whole wanting the intimidation of the father thing )... Look into the Hemstead House – I don’t know what their pricing is but it’s very very similar to Oheka Castle regarding look and feel. For a look of elegance Villa Lombardi’s and Giorgio’s are beautiful, both have excellent food, and are very accommodating. Oooohhh and also look into the Woodlands (located in Woodbury) and www.andrewscatering.com - they have many different indoor and outdoor settings to choose from - willing to customize your menu and more budget friendly than the lessings properties but very similar regarding property style and also check out the NYIT de Seversky Center. East Wind Caterers also has three exclusive settings in one location, which can cater to a particular look for many different brides. Old Westbury Gardens is an amazing location for pictures but they charge a considerable fee depending on the time of day $275-475 for an hour and half. Feel free to FM me for any more suggestions or if you have any questions I’m happy to help. Best of luck in your search. =) Keep us posted!

So helpful! Lets cross our fingers that Russo's hopefully does work out! I am going to take my pictures at Old Westbury Gardens, that place is so gorgeous they should really consider doing weddings!

I checked out Villa Lombardi's the same day I checked out Russo's. My MOH was in a wedding at Villa Lombardi's a few years ago and it was her favorite wedding shes ever been in/to. I loveddd it but the BM told me there is no possible way I could get the side of the room with the fire place because they block it off on the smaller half (or something like that) unless I up my minimum and I tried to work something out but they wouldnt so unfortunately I had to walk I went to East Wind and I lovedddd it, the outside took my breath away, but it was to far for me. I am going to look into the Hempstead House now thanks for the suggestion!!
