Suz and Naun got me thinking when they said I make them feel guilty for using jar sauce.
so.....I am going to start jarring and selling MY sauce. a meaty bolognese and a vegetarian friendly marinara (no meat products but will have parmesean cheese)
Since I am 95% sure I am quitting my job and going to culinary school, this will be good practice for me.
now I just have to figure out how to price it.
I am also going to make ready to bake lasagnas and baked zitis. that's another thing to figure out pricing for. I have no idea how to do this. it should be fun.

I'll have separate titles for my NWR girls.
I am thinking of calling the 'business' since I'd eventually like to cater Buon Cibo Buon Vino Buoni Amici (good food, good wine, good friends)
and the food I'd just lable 'Buon Cibo' and the type of sauce or dish....
what do you think?
I literally just 'decided' all of this stuff over the weekend. I am feeling weird.

Buon Cibo is a great name - but to avoid problems later on when you become famous i would do an extensive search first to make sure it doesn't exist already

I love the name. I have a friend who is going through a simliar process to sell his homemade BBQ sauce- I will see what tips he has for you.

hmm, I am not going to start shipping yet. I am going to stay relatively 'local' and do personal deliveries..mostly b/c I think shipping will be expensive and I don't want to deter people. most likely I will deliver to people in the same areas when I get a few orders in. where do you live? fm is totally fine.
my hubby is going to LOVE this

I would also try to sell your stuff at some farmers' markets. I think it's a great way to start building clientele.

I'm so incredibly excited for you! This is such a HUGE step and fabulous risk! I'm also totally jealous. Wish I had the money and ability to start over... I would love to.
