I am going to the hospital tonight

to visit my SIL.

she's been there for about a week. she was sick for a good 2 weeks prior to that. somehow her kidney's were affected.

should be fun.

maybe I should go ask for prayers.

honestly, since I have very few nice feelings towards this woman, it is hard for me to feel badly.

I mean, I don't want her to be sick of course, but I just can't muster up much sympathy.

I feel for her daughters though...they miss her.

I feel for my MIL too...the girls have been around even MORE than usual...so she is being worked to the bone.

she is doing much better. her first night in the hospital, they were talking either dialysis for the rest of her life (she's 38) or a kidney transplant.

as of right now, her toxin levels have leveled off, so it looks as though her kidney's may be starting to work for themselves.

It's hard to see anyone like that, and I feel bad for her husband and family that are so worried for her. it's a tough time b/c she is usually the one taking care of them (she's only really bad with me)

I think it's hard even for dh to see her like that, b/c for the most part, she's great to him. I know she cares about him...and I think it's only my problems with her (or rather, her treatment of me) that have strained their relationship.

she's usually a very strong in control person, so this definitely through her and everyone around her for a loop.

Maybe with this illness and awareness of how fragile our lives really are she will re think the way she treats you.

I hope she gets better.

you don't have to be bff with everyone in your life.

I just hope she gets well for her family.
