I am gonna get flamed for this, but I need advice badly.

I have been very, very bad.

I am planning my Bachelorette/Birthday party in mid-March. I had planned to invite 5 friends. When I told FH, he gave me a look. “Aren’t you forgetting someone?” he asks me. I look, befuddled (is that a real word?)

“There is someone else in your bridal party”.

“Oh, well, oh. I don’t really think there is room for her, now that I think of it”, I say, looking down at the carpet.

“You’re going to hurt her feelings you know”, he says very father-like to me.

“Oh, well, we will see. So, are we going out” I say quickly trying to change the subject.

The truth of the matter is while I like his sister and she is very nice, she is NOT someone I would like to hang out with. She doesn’t drink or use foul language like me and my friends do. Also, she is 12 years older than us. My MOH said we can call it a HS reunion get together, bit I am not sure if that will fly.

This is my 30th birthday and I want it to be the very best in fun. We are renting a limo and driving up to Mohegan Sun. I want to be able to relax and be myself, but I won’t be able to do that if his sister is around.

Someone please tell me what to do. I know it’s wrong not to invite her, but, I just don’t wanna.

I only invited my bridal party a few good friends and no one else. I didn't want to have a big Bachelorette party and I didn't. It was nice, personal and tons of fun!!!! I would only invite people you want to be there, people that you are close with.

Maybe you can have two seperate evenings..the fun one you already have planned with your girls and then maybe a more subdue one where you go out to dinner and invite your future sister in law. I am actually wondering if I will have the issues coming up.
