I am having a really bad monday_update bottom of page

I bought a 2004 Malibu in october. Love it. Get in this morning go to put my key in the ignition, won't go in. Tied moving steering wheel and everything, still won't go in. So decided to look in it, it;s blocked by something. What the heck!!! I bought this car so I would not have car problems, I have no luck at all.

So I called the guy I bought it from and through many attempts he got the service dept. for me. Well, the darn thing has to be towed to the dealership. Now I am out of a car, and I have to miss work. They dealership is paying for the tow, and fixing it, but that still is not going to make up for lost time at work.

All I have to say is thank god for warranties...Just be happy that the problem you are having isnt that bad....It could be worse. I know its a new car and you may think that new cars are problem free, but they arent....especially first year cars. I know I had a 2001 civic which was the first year for the new style and I had nothing but problems with it.

I hope that this is the only problem you ever have with this car....

How do you like the car otherwise?

Hello there! Sorry you are having a bad Monday - I am in the same boat as you. I had my windshield replaced on Saturday and this morning is the 1st time I am driving it and my windshield wipers don't touch the window !! I am going to detach them and re-attach them to see if they were off a little but if not they are going to have to do something, maybe even re-install the windshield.
Do you have someone that you can car pool with to work?

Other then that I love the car. Good news is I called the dealership and they said if I come down they can get me into a loaner for free today, instead of tomorrow. usually the car has to be in the shop min. of 24 hours, but I played the feel bad for me tune, and how dh bought 2 cars from them and so did MIL. they gave in. Now I have to find a way to get there. plus the tow still is not here

Try and find out if the dealership will pick you up. They used to do this for my mom, even when she didn't get a loaner.

Maybe the tow truck driver will give you a ride there....or maybe you can just take a cab

When I called tow truck place 2 hours, now it is 2 hours and they still are not here. So I called them back. Another hour minimum because of the bad weather yeaterday!!!!!!!!

Now I am on the phone with customer service to find out what is the deal! What the Heck!!!!!!

I have a business meeting @ 3pm I can't miss.

I am in tears

sorry to hear about this...is it an electrical problem? New cars tend to have these....our saab was so close to coming under the lemon law the first 3 months we had it (at least they always gave us lifts and loaners) I was so frustrated...but all the problems worked itself out...

That is not an elctrical problem. She said she had a problem putting the key in the ignition. Im sure they will be able to fix the problem soon...Hopefully the tow truck driver will pick up the car soon...and you can get to the dealer, get a rental and get to your meeting by 3pm

well, the tow truck driver got here at 12:30 ish. he drove me and my car to the dealership. I came in to talk with the service writer, he told me I can have a loaner, but I need a major credit card. Now I just fixed my credit and no longer carry credit cards, so now what. He says Well, that is going to be a problem without a credit card.

Well, that hit my last button and I flew off the handle. Crying and shouting. The manager asked if we could take it in her office. I was furious. It is there problem my car is broke, so why to I have to have the credit card? Needless to say they are like well what about your husband? I said, I will have to disturb him at his second job which is paying for my car which is useless now!!!!!!!

They checked to see if they could give me a test drive vehicle, well they had none. back to square one. they tried other dealerships in the area no luck. Then they found a tahoe on the lot which is a demo.

I got the tahoe, no credit card needed. I am happy now cause I can go to work tomorrow.
