I am Hiring a monkey, a couple of elephants and some clowns for my wedding!
Why you ask? Because it is going to be a circus!! My Grandmother is nuts!! First of all she is wearing an ivory dress (which is already risky in some peoples eyes) Well as of today she is wearing red yes RED shoes and a pocket book to go with her IVORY dress! Talk about queer eye for the grandma!! Mom is going to try and talk her out of it! I just thought someone would like to join in on the fun I am having with this!! I don't know how I am going to concentrate on the ceremony when all I am going to be seeing is the glare from my grandmothers RED shoes!!

aww, i think mom may need to buy Grandma som shoes, that she 'happened to find' & think will 'look just perfcet' with her dress.
Grandma wearing ivory is ok. A lot of those older woman dresses are always shown in ivory & taupe in bridal magazines. I think its more ok for grandma to wear ivorythan Mom, b/c it is usually pretty clear she's not the bride.

Take things in stride. It's not the end of the world. Your grandmother will not outshine you. Heck my MIL ended up wearing a white dress, although very simple in style, to my wedding. I didn't think too much about it on my wedding day - only afterwards and reading all these posts about Mom's dresses did I think it was a faux pas.

What is wrong with people? People become bold when it comes to weddings.
All I could do is laugh when FH's friend invited and RSVP'ed for her, her husband and her girlfriend. W T F???

ok my grammy is wearing leopard print - no that is not a misprint - she is wearing leopard print from head to toe - can we join in the circus?
