I am in DESPERATE need of major help!!! PLEASE

In advance i thank anyone who can give me advice here goes-
I am getting married at the reception hall. I put a 15 minute earlier start time on the invitation (they are all done and have been done for a long time now). Yesterday I went to my hall and they told me they want a copy of my invitation to match up the start time. When I asked why they said if it does not match up they will charge me $3 extra per person. I pretened like it was ok. I asked what happens if people come a little earlier and she said that was fine they could wait in the lobby. My question what do I do? HELP HELP

Is your final deposit/payment due before of after the wedding? My place said that we should say we are getting married 30 min before so accommodate everyone re traffic/transportation problems and so the valets could park everyone's car.
If your final payment is due after the wedding or they have a clause in your contract that says they can charge you for stuff after the wedding, if it were me, I would want to nail down if they will charge you for 15 minutes. I would say something like I can't control the exact second my guests arrive. It is not like I am putting 30 min. Putting in a small buffer zone for the start time is a reasonable and standard thing to do.

I agree! And maybe remind them that you wish someone had brought this up BEFORE asking for a proof of the invite! what a TRAP- they tell you that they will charge more AFTER the fact upon asking for a copy of the invitation? It sounds like a money making scheme!

That's crazy, I would just keep putting off giving it to them, until you absolutely have to. Just forget about it.

thank you ladies, I am agonizing over this and have decided to be up fron twith them I just called and they are calling me back. I would feel so uncomfortable doing a fake one and would be so nervouse one fo my guests would bring in the invite and show it to them. I dont need any more stress. Oh well, wish me luck when the manager calls me back.

What if you have the printer print one invitation with the real start time and show them that. They won't need to see all of them. I know it sounds wrong but it is wrong of them to charge an extra $3 a plate. That is ridiculous.

I'm confused. Does your contract SAY that they can charge you $3 more per person if the start time on the invite is not as is indicated on the contract? Something smells fishy ...
