I AM IN SHOCK!! (First offical vent! I really need opinions!) UPDATE

I sent a request for a sample on Saturday, I got an automatic response back saying that I can expect to receive my sample through email in up to 3 business days...wednesday, thursday and today I tried contacting them to find out what was going on, I wanted to oreder the STD's this week. Everytime I called I got their voicemail. I left a voicemail today saying that i've been having trouble contacting them and asking them to please email or call me back. I also emailed them today with a similar message, this is exactly what I wrote:

'I sent an email requesting a sample on Saturday and was told I would receive it in up to 3 business days. I have yet to receive this sample. I have tried several times over the past three days to get in contact with you but all attempts have been unsuccessful. Can you please let me know what is going on with this? I was planning on ordering my save the dates this week but obviously this is no longer possible.'

and this is the response I just got, I bolded the part that pissed me off!:

'Hello Gina

Thank you for your email. The 3-business day turnaround is a guideline. Please reference your automated reply for the exact verbiage:

'Requests for samples: Samples are normally sent out within three business
days. If you would like it sent sooner than that, please reply to this
email and let us know.'

Since you have requested a graphic with a very specific motif & color scheme, one which is not shown on our site, these type of requests may take longer, as we have to search for new graphics specifically for you.

We understand that we weren't able to accommodate your request within your timeframe. We wish you success in finding another vendor who can accommodate your needs.

Am I overreacting or do I have the right to be extremely pissed off right now?? I never said I was going to look for another vendor, I feel like they're just writing me off...I don't think I came across as rude in the email or the voicemail...annoyed, yes, but not rude, I don't think I gave them a reason to just write me off like that What should I do??

UPDATE:

so I responded to their email saying 'I wasn't planning on going to another vendor, is that what you're suggesting?' ...and they explained that they assumed I would be going elsewhere due to the timeframe but if that's not the case they'd be happy to email me the sample in 30 minutes, and they apologized for coming off the way they did...so I guess it was just a misunderstanding on both parts...i'm glad this ended well because I love their work!

what the heck....thats rude...honestly...i would find another vendor anyway....i would not want to work with them and i would giv them veryy veryyy poor reviews

I'd totally get pissed off!!! wow! I used them too and they were wonderful!

To tell you the truth it's a joke with my FH and i that i've been fired by a few vendors! 1 videographer (when i asked too many questions) a travel agent when I asked them to quote me on too many places...lol...i think its totally ridiculous and I wonder how people run a successful business.

I would give them a piece of my mind!

i would be pissed by that response too. but thinking about how they might have read what you wrote to them, they probably assumed when you said you had wanted to order them this week and now that is no longer possible, i bet they mistook that as you telling them you didn't want their business anymore and had ordered or will be ordering from someone else.

i think you should respond and tell them you didn't want to find another vendor, that you were just hoping to have ordered them by this week, and ask them how quickly they estimate getting you a sample.

but i really do understand why you got annoyed b/c that's something that would annoy me. the only reason i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt is b/c i'm outside the situation and i'm trying to see if there was any way they could have misinterpreted anything you said. if it'd happened to me i wouldn't even bother, i'd just be mad! lol...good luck, and post pics when you do finally get your stds...i wanna see!!

It's so funny you said this, because that's exactly what I did about two hours ago...and they responded saying that they thought I would be going elsewhere due to the timeframe but if that's not the case they'd be happy to email me the sample in 30 minutes, and they apologized for coming off that way...so I guess it was a misunderstanding on both of our parts...i'm glad this ended well because I love their work!

I know what you mean! I felt like I got dumped! I was just really bewildered like 'what, I didn't know a vendor could fire ME' that was definitely a first for me, lol! But I guess it wasn't even a first because it was a misunderstanding...

that's awesome gina, i'm so glad it worked out for you!! that's where i got my stds and they were actually really great to work with and i loved my stds. i'm sure if you end up going w them you'll love yours too.

Awww that ***** that that happened to you. I just wanna say that I did order thru a giftful heart and they did an excellent job. I had a custom design placed on their magnets and it came out great.

Bear in mind, when making phone calls to them, their voice machine says they are open from 8-4 but since they are in Cali. you have to account for the time difference.

I did find some difficulty in getting in touch with someone but when I did, she was really helpful and prompt in her responses. I also noticed that i spoke to the same person each time I called regardless of the time or day which leads me to believe that they are a small operation.

If all else fails, let me know and i can mail you my samples from them (if I still have them).. If you do decide to go with them, they did do a great job and the magnet quality was the best IMO.
