I am in so much pain : (

I had a horrific dental experience yesterday. Well, the dentist wasn't bad, just that I'm petrified of the dentist and sat in the chair for 2 HOURS!!!!

He had to do three things on my upper left side....two small fillings and a porcelain veneer. A piece of filling fell out and he suggested that removing the rest would and putting in a veneer would look better and be stronger. By the time he was done drilling, I had an OUTLINE of my tooth only : (

He gave me 12, yes 12 shots of novacaine because it hurt so bad. To make it worse, my jaw is aching like all heck because it was wide open and pried apart for hours : (

OUCH!!! I totally sympathize...me and any dentist don't get along, even though my dentist is VERY VERY CUTE. Doesn't help when you are in pain though.

LOL He is a really nice guy, just not so nice when he gets that drill going. He has a laser that he uses instead of the drill (for some parts) and that is nice, but that drill is just murder.

I don't know what made me do this the WEEK of my wedding I went Friday for a simple cleaning to have sparkly, clean teeth next week and once he told me cavities and a missing filling, I was in a rush to get it done. I didn't want to chance a tooth ache or anything on our day or HM.

Call your Dr. and ask for a muscle relaxer !!! It will help your jaw.

My doctor doesn't do any prescriptions over the phone : ( I don't have time today to go sit there either...stinks!

Sorry you're not feeling well. I always find advil works better than any pain killer on dental work.

Thanks...I have to go get some, I have Tylenol here and they didn't work.

I feel your pain!! I had my wisdom teeth taken out not to long ago and I had over 10 novice shots!! I looked like a chipmunk by the time he was done!! I was definitly hating life at that point!! I really hope you feel better because I know the pain!

BTW: I'm scared out of my mind by the denist too and that just makes it worse!!! I hate him!

Me THREE! And I floss and everything - I just have genetically awful teeth. UGH! My new dentist doesn't use the gas - I miss it. I don't know if it helps with the pain so much - maybe the jaw pain, but it calms you down completely which helps.

I am in the same boat as you for 2 months I went to the dentist every week sometimes twice a week... all that teeth still not done... I had been in a car accident that literally knocked out teeth and broke many.. the reconstructive work i am STILL doing is sooo painful!!! To top it off they have to drug me to get me into a dentist office i am that petrified... Before my teeth didn't have ANY pain...now lots of it even when i brush & floss... I feel soo bad for you or anyone going through that!!! FEEL BETTER!!!
