I am LIVID right now!
I payed $60, including $15 shipping, for what I THOUGHT was a beautiful handmade custom cardbox in the colors of my choice.
It arrived today... it's the worst piece of trash I've ever seen. The outside looks fine... not anything like as nice as I expected, the fabric looks REALLY cheap, but at least it's neat looking... but the inside is honestly an embarrassing mess! There is glue EVERYWHERE - all along where the seams are, huge visible glue stains showing through the fabric... and the lining isn't even completely attached! It's just sort of puckered up, hanging off of the inside edges... there are places where it isn't even attached at all, and I can look in and actually SEE the cardboard that's underneath the fabric! I can't BELIEVE that anybody would actually send this out to somebody! As somebody who sells my own handmade jewelry, I would NEVER send somebody a travesty like this, not even for $5, never mind $60!
I'm so f-ing pissed off right now. I contacted the seller (it's a seller on etsy, where I have always had wonderful luck... this is the first time I've received something so below par, and I've made a lot of purchses there) telling her that I'm pretty upset by the quality and would like to either send it back for a full refund, or at least get some kind of compensation for it. I mean, it's USABLE like this, as the outside is fine, with a minor adjustment here and there... but there's no WAY I'm paying $60 for something a 10 year old could have done better with!
eta: I took a closer look at the outside, and there are spots and stains all over the fabric... I really don't think I CAN use this the way it looks on the outside... I'm still waiting to hear back from her about the refund though, I don't want to have wasted all that money.
