I am lost!!!! Can someone please explain the stamp situation to me?
I'm not ready to send out my invites yet, but I'm trying to figure out costs and such. Anyway, I know the cost of stamps have gone up.
According to USPS website, they still have wedding stamps advertised as:
63 cent two ounce stamps (for the invite I guess) 39 cent one ounce stamps (for the RSVP I guess)
Does anyone have any idea what the actual prices are? We're going to send them out in mid-late July.
I am beyond confused!!!

the prices now are: .41 & .58
the post office really b-l-o-w-s so they will not have the new wedding stamps out til June 27th I believe.....and FH was just asking me yesterday 'when are we sending our invites?' ohhhhh sure NOW you want to be involved??

So the price of the one ounce stamp went up but the price to send the whole invite went down????

yep!! we're actually saving a total of 3 cents per invite!! but they're still royally screwing all of us brides by not having the wedding stamps ready for a month & a half after the new rate came out!!

OK so let me try to get this straight:
The new wedding stamp design is coming out June 27?
The new wedding stamp one ounce price is 41 cents?
The new wedding stamp two ounce price is 58 cents?

It's not just the weight anymore - it's also the size ov the envelope- the bigger envelopes require more postage. I almost fell over when our invites came in and i saw the size of the envelopes. :)
I would take one to the post office and have them weigh it and tell ya how much it will be. Larger envelopes are like another 39 cents.

June 27?! So much for me having the envelopes stuffed & stamped before I go away on vacation in July. Now when I get home I'll be stuffing invites like a madwoman to get them out in time. Stupid post office.
