2 months until my wedding and my mother hasn't even ordered a dress!!!!!!!! WT*F?????? 6 months ago I did an incredible amount of research. I basically went to every MOB dress designer's website and emailed pics to my mom of like 50 dresses that I though she might like. She ignored me. I offered to go dress shopping with her. She didn't buy anything. She tried to place an order last Monday and on Friday the dress shop called her back and told her that the manufacturer said there was no way that they could get the dress on time. Now she is looking around for a new dress. I advised her that at this point she will probably not be able to get a dress at a bridal shop and will instead have to get something off the rack at Nordstroms. She says thats not true. I am so mad.

She likes the Mon Cheri Montage dresses and I do too. My mom is plus size as well which makes it more difficult because most of the samples are too small for her to be able to try on, so you can't even get a sense of what the dress would look like on her and it makes me nervous to order out of the catalog because your ordering something you have never seen in person. They make everything look great in the catelog and then you get it and it doesn't fit the way you thought it would and the color is not what you thought, you know. And oh of course, she wants a dress that magically makes a plus sized woman look like a size 2! Well, I do too but can we please be realistic here?
My mom just ordered a Mon Cheri Montage dress from Totally You in Bellmore. They said absolute max was 3 months but they can rush it. Also, they have a TON in stock. I would suggest going there. My mother is also plus size and they had sizes in stock up to a 28WW!!! So I would definitely suggest going there.

I understand the frustration and appreciate your concern, however, she certainly find something off the rack within 2 months.

I am dealing with the same thing with my FMIL... she is also plus-sized, but so is my mom and she found and ordered her dress the same day I ordered mine, so its not like its impossible.
After hitting ONE store for less than15 minutes she decided that she couldn't do it. She told me she was going to use some website to order dresses so she could try them on at home.
I have 3 months left, so it's a little longer than you do, but still- it does take time, especially if you are ordering a dress, or having alterations done!

I would def be mad . it ***** but at this point it is what it is I am sure that you will look so stunning that no one will be able to take their eyes off you to see what any one else is wearing
