I am Married
Hi Ladies. Happy New Year to you all. I really cant believe our year is over and i am Married.
I never got on to say my goodbyes before i left but I want to Thank everyone soooo much for all their help with my planning. Everyone's posts, reviews and comments were so helpful.
I am now a married woman and we had the best time of our lives. The planning went so smooth with no hiccups at all but 3 days before the wedding was very stressful with the Blizzard. All flights got canceled and we were not sure our families and friends (85 people) from Ireland would make it. They might have been 2 days late with lots of drama with delays cancellations more delays (but a good drinking session I am told at Dublin Airport!!!) they finally made it. Very stressful but at least they were here.
The day of the wedding though went off without a hitch even though we had to cancel our rehearsal due to all our bridal party being stuck in Ireland. We had so much fun and it was funny in the church since no one really knew what to do but the guests said they didn't notice anything.
We had our pictures in Central Park and it was amazing. All along i wanted to have a light dusting of snow. I got a little more than that but even TJ from Duet laughed about it as he had said he would love if there was snow too!!! We had so much fun and felt like movie stars with everyone taking pictures of us. I cant wait to see the pictures. Our 2nd Photographer John was climbing on walls covered in snow and everything. We were joking that he he fell in the water to make sure and save the camera!!!!
The food was amazing in the Manhattan Club. It was funny in Ireland we don't have a Cocktail hour so my aunts and uncles were filling up on all the amazing food from the cocktail hour thinking that was it!! But they still did a good job at eating the 14 oz steak for dinner!!!!
Our DJ ended up playing until 3.30am and everyone had a blast. The dance floor was full all night even though we had our band and then with the DJ for 8 hours of music.
For our honeymoon we stayed in San Juan a week then a 7 night cruise. It was such a brilliant time and we loved every minute of it. (We even looked into booking an extra week on the cruise but we were 1 day late as they needed the list of guests 48 hours before cruising)
I just cant believe it is all over now and back to reality (and cold weather).
