I am MOH and will be 8 months PG....

I am MOH and will be 8 months PG....

I am having serious trouble finding a dress. The BM dresses are by Bill Levkof and he doesn't make maternity dresses. It is a satin celedon A line dress. The bridal salon says we can make it into a maternity dress by ordering a size 16 and altering it. I don't have to have the same dress as everyone else but it should be by the same designer so we get the same color.

When I try on the dresses with the fake belly the dress just hangs over the belly and with the A line there is only so much they can bring it in. It looks like 3 kids could hide out under the dress.

Anyway....does anyone have any pictures of 7-9 month PG BMs so I can get a sense of how I will look???

i had the same issue with my sister.. MOH.
she tried doing what you did.. it just did not look right ordering the sizes too big.. so we just went with a maternity dress.. with the same color or close and it looked great!! i wasnt picky.. i wanted her to be comfortable.. and since she was the MOH like yours.. its ok to wear a different dress

Oh she looks so pretty. I love that dress. Can I ask what designer it was and what the fabric was?
Thanks

i can find out what the designer was.. but the material was chiffon.. it really did work well.
maternity dresses just fit so much better.. it was worth it and she was very comfortable!

do you know what colors she plans on using??

One of my BM was 7 months pregnant for my wedding. My girls wore Ann Taylors Diana in black. It is an aline dress. She bought a big size and extra fabric and she looked BABULOUS and she said she was comfy all day!

since you are the MOH would the bride consider having you in a completely different material but still a shade of green? You might be better off with a chiffon type of material bc Bill Levkoff Satin dresses are very thick.

Take a look at Bill Levkoff style 633 in pistacio

also 870, 871 and 872 are in chiffon as well

Good Luck

She does look adorable....I wish we were wearing black. Celedon is a different story though

Celedon...and I just spoke to someone at Alfred Angelo and they said the hardest color to come even close to matching ia Celedon. AARGH!

I don't mind being a little off in color but it is so tricky with celedon...could look really odd in pictures if my dress turns out to be some weird green.

Thanks for the ideas. I saw the 633 at the salon and was excited to try it on but unfortunatley it looked odd And the others look pretty...especially the 870 but don't I have to stick with empire waist? Or am I wrong?

If you don't HAVE to stick with Bill Levkoff, I would look at Bari Jay in addition to what the other girls recommended. They have a few maternity gowns.

There is Jim Hjelm, Watters & Watters, and Eden Bridal
My sister is due 2 weeks after my wedding, so we had the same problem with her---she ordered a dress from Jim Hjelm, it is in the same color as my other BMs

My sis is my MOH and she just told me she will be TTC around the time of my wedding! Yikes--but these pics reassured me that she can still look fabulous!
Thanks
