As many of you know, I'm a school librarian - so when classes have library, teachers get their prep (off) time...

This teacher asked me to switch with her (which she does ALL THE TIME), but I do it to be nice. Well, she calls me this morning and asks me to switch to a different time then the other switch that I already made for her, and I said I couldn't (cause I didn't want to teach first thing in the morning).

Well, I figure out why she wants to switch with me - cause there was a band concert assembly that she wanted to go to (so she wouldn't have to teach during that time), but instead, I got it cause I had her class during that time...

I ask her when she brings her class if that's why she wanted to switch, and with no problem, she says 'yes, i do that all the time'. So I said 'well what makes you think I'M NOT ENTITLED TO ASSEMBLIES', and the b*tch says 'well, if you want to watch the assembly, you could always come with my class' - I then say 'no, that's not my point - I'm a teacher just like you, and I should get the same perks as you' and she says 'well you're not with one class all day' so i literally laugh out loud and say 'no dear, I am with 5 different classes a day - kindergarten, then 3rd, then 1st, then special ed' ... I said 'what you did was wrong you have to admit it' and she just shrugs her shoulders and said 'well everyone else does it' (um, are we 2 freakin years old here) and I said 'uh, no - you're the only one I'm aware of who does it' and I went to teach....

I'm still seeing red, so I'm sorry this was so long!!!

Shamma - you are right, but if you read my post above, just know she also told a good friend from work that she didn't even want to attend my wedding - she's just going to weddings so people will go to hers!!!! (can you say loser)...

She behaves one way, you do not have to let her dictate how you react. You cannot control others but you can control how you react to their stupidity. NO one at work should ever get you this upset, they are not that major in your life. Everything is a lesson, now you know. She has lost all cool points and any getting to switch with you is out the window. She is the one that ends up losing.
