I keep reading these mushy,sappy poems to your parents and fmil and groom about getting married and I am in tears I cant imagine me on my wedding day forget it I wont make it without looking like a weenie

Dont worry, you wont be the only one!
I started crying in the middle of my MOH speech at my best friends wedding. So much so, that I couldnt finish my speech. If I cant make it through that, how am I supposed to make it through my own wedding! :)
I'm sure you'll do fine! :)

I totally hear you. I plan in being a mess too. I was talking to one of co-workers about that the other day how everytime I think about the wedding day I start to cry. The funny thing was one of my students overheard and said, just don't think about it. If only it was that simple.

I told my mom that I was going to be a mess at the wedding and walking down the aisle with my dad and her wise words of wisdom were: 'Remember ... you look ugly when you cry.' I think that I will just try to think of it in those terms and laugh remembering my mom saying it!

i am perhaps the worlds biggest sap..cried everytime i saw a bride, a limo, song and that day didnt cry once! I bawlled at my shower..you will be so full of happiness and nervous energy you wont cry..once the doors to the church opened i started and then I saw my husband and I ran to him!

I thought I was going to be a lot worse than I was. I did cry a little bit, but I wasn't bawling like I baby like I expected. I was amazed at how under control I was.

Yeah I have the same feeling. At our engaged encounter weekend I lost in when they had us hold hands and look at each other and they recited this poem....maybe I'll get it out before hand but I don't know. Friends of mine who have gotten married say you really never know how you'll be on that day (some got it out the days leading up to it) but I think I will be a mess too!

I will be a total disaster too. But so will my dad, he is a comlete mush.
SOmeone told me when you are trying not to cry, sing the alphabet in your head becaus eit will distract you....somehow I don;t think that will cut it for me!

THis has been pre-occupying my mind lately! I always cry and get choked up at other peoples wedding! I can only imagine mine. I cried when I saw a picture of my cake the other day!
