I am pi$$ed

So I ordered my invites last week. 100. Me and FH were going over the list last night and the list hit 210 people. We really cannot eliminate a lot of people. My mom is one of 13 children so you can imagine how big my side is alone.
Anyway, I thought I can catch the order before it's been shipped and just add 25 more.
Well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The lady at their customer service answers and I ask if I can add to my order. She sighs and goes 'Well what's your order number?' I tell her. There was silence. Then she goes: 'Your order is about to be shipped. If you order anymore invitations, it goes back to the original price, you know that right?' I said yeah, but the order HASN'T been shipped. She quoted the price of just 25 (almost $100). So I was so pi$$ed, I hung up.
I tell FH. He's like, 'come on Danielle, you can't expect to spend $100 on 25 invitations if all we really need is 10 or 15, do you?' Then he suggests that he will go and get 15 invitations that he will make himself. I don't know who I want to strangle right now. And when I suggested we make an A and B list, he said that it wasn't a good idea and wasn't right. Do I let him print out oddball invites? Is it Bridezilla and anal of me to want them to all match??

No - I'd want them all to match too.... You're spending all this money, you know?

Maybe you can order 25 more invites from a diff vendor? Do you know the manufacturer and style # of the invites?

same thing happened with me ....but when i got the 100 i messed up the wording so i had to reorder the 100 invites PLUS 25 additional sets :(....FH flipped out

same EXACT thing happened to me! only my stupid invitation company wont let me order 25 , min is 50, and its 1,500 more

Good one.
For the minute FH suggested he'd make extra ones from getting them at staples or somewhere, I was going to punish him and make him send them to HIS OOT fam. But then I thought about it for a second and thought it was nice that he offered to actually participate in this whole wedding planning. (His side is still getting the non-matching ones though!)

i was SO upset at first , but the thought of spending 1,500 for all on 10 invites that i needed got me over it

if they were all ready printed on (they are not sending you blanks) then its normal policy to charge you again for the extra for the std price. If you are ordering blank invites to do your own then they shouldn't of charged you extra at all.

The reason they charge extra after the order is completed once the invites have been printed on is because they still have to ink up the press, they still have to burn a plate, they still need to arrange your artwork on paper - so it cost them to setup an initial run and it gets cheaper as they run more.

It really ***** when situations like that occur.
