I am really not a prude but.....

So I don't mean to preach and like I said to each their own but...

These boards are PUBLIC people! I mean what anyone writes online can follow them for a long time. I know myspace and facebook can be much more damaging than LIW but still. People lurk these boards.

Just yesterday there was a thread about vendors lurking, and how we are uncomfortable with it and feel it is wrong. I agree with that.

But are you comfotable kowing that a vendor you might visit and possibly hire will know that you (I am sure they can identify us by our pics) like it from behind and enjoy swallowing? They read these, it isn't only brides (and grooms) unfortunatly, it is strangers and moms....

Like I said I am not a prude many of the Sextions of the Day I have read on the '09 board have been nothing but funny (different names for a p*nis, or who would you rather do... innocent questions)... I just think some things are better left offline.

I am no prude and what everyone does is their own business, just remember before you post and/or reply we (meaning the 2010 brides/grooms) are not the only ones reading these

edt- you are right that she was being nice,,a 2000 word essay isn't needed. I think that was the point that some people were trying to make.
However some people..well they are having fun and trying to get away from the drama and make people laugh.

My cousin Shauna is the most fun and the least controversial person EVER. She is a fun party girl, she is by NO MEANS a prude, and she never lectures anyone. She was simply trying to remind everyone that ANYONE can see these forums. For example, when I google-image the Garden City Hotel, my profile picture comes up on the second page of the search, and if you click on it, you are now viewing my profile in LIW. You have NO IDEA what I discuss with my friends, and you have no idea what Shauna discusses with her cousins and friends... but we both just wouldn't post it on a forum that allows the world to see what we do with our FHs. Shauna was just having everyone's back - reminding you all that anyone in the world can see these. If you don't care about that, that is totally and completely FINE. No one is judging. But some people often think of this as a somewhat private forum, but in all honesty, anyone in the world can see what we write and they don't need a password either. Shauna is a sweet girl and she doesn't want to see anyone regretting what they write. You should have APPRECIATED that, not started a war with her.

To be honest with you, it has been my experience that those who have to say they are kinky or raunchy are usually the ones who are not as kinky and raunchy as those who keep it to themselves. So to say Shauna is a prude or that she 'shouldn't read posts that are offensive to her' is retarded. She wasn't offended. She was warning people that anyone in the world can read these, so just make sure you are comfortable first before you post it. and if you have no problem with your father knowing everything that goes on with your FH, that is totally fine, too!!! We don't care at all!!!! In fact, it is entertaining to read the answers. But I just know that some people may post on here and forget how public it really is.

And no, Shauna did not message me and ask me to defend her. In fact, she still has no idea I just read this. I happened to stumble upon it and felt the need to express my opinion.

And I am seriously annoyed that someone started another 'sextion' on this thread, and then said 'oh wait - I can't write that because then I would be deemed immature!!!' Seriously??? What is this, middle school?? Don't mock my cousin just because she was being sweet and reminding everyone that anyone can read these posts. Jesus.


I think most of us were being sarcastic. It evened turned into a fun thread towards the end. Its a joke at this point. Enough with the sensitivity

I honestly think the whole thing should just be let go at this point. If people were offended and now understand your point, great. If people were offended and won't get over it, that's their problem. It seems most weren't offended.

I think we should all try to forget it and move on.

I don't think you should apologize!! People are just trying to have fun and make the thread a positive instead of a negative. there were PAGES of jokes and fun after the 'drama'. I too was trying to make Light (no pun intended) of the fuel for the fire comment. But I guess not.....
I do think it was nice of your cousin to come on and say something. Happy Planning!!

Thank you, well I guess then as I said things get twisted on the internet. Maybe I am taking things the way they arn't meant. I know after the inital convo it was jokes, to be honest. I couldn't tell if you were making light of the Fuel to the fire thing... when people don't really know eachother sarcasim on the web can be very misunderstood.
