I AM SO FRUSTRATED I COULD JUST SCREAM!

Just got off the phone with my FH, and he gently informed me that his brother (THE BEST MAN) and one other groomsman have STILL not gone for their tuxes yet! The wedding is three weeks from today! We have told both guys repeatedly that we were asked by the Tuxedo shop to have all the guys in at least one month before the wedding!
I guess it wouldn't be so bad, but these two have given us nothing but grief from the start! (I'd be here forever explaining all the problems we've had!) To top it all off, last year, when they were both in another friends wedding party, they pulled the same stunt and refused to wear the shoes and pants provided by the Tux shop. They showed up the day of the wedding wearing their own pants and shoes and told the groom that at the last minute they BOTH had problems with the ones they rented (There were obvious differences between their tuxedo pants and the rest of the guys) Being an insider to the family, my FH and I knew the truth. If these two think they are going to pull the same stunt at OUR WEDDING.. Heads are going to roll........ GRRRR

Have your fiance talk to them, and mention that the tuxedo place called and said that they havent gone for their fitting. Ours actially called the usher's themselves, and that motivated them to go. Good Luck!!!

yeah, maybe your fiance can ask them to go to lunch, and then go to the tux place.

I feel thats so rude.Its just someone being lazy.Good luck in trying to get them in the store,everything will work out for you.

I told my guys that they would incure a $40 rush fee if they were not fitted by a certain date, which is the truth, but I made the date 2 weeks before the read deadline.
Get on the phone with each of the guys and tell them that you NEED them to met you at the tux place on Saturday or Sunday at whatever time. Tell them that this MUST get done. Then remind each of them that they are to wear the full tux. I am letting some of our guys wear their own proper black shiny dress shoes BUT I know they will be nice, not old scruffed ones. Get firm!

Thanks for all the responses - feeling much better today. After putting the HEAT on them both, they finally went over the weekend and got fitted! Now let's hold our breaths and see if they show up in the Tuxes we picked out. The two 'men' in question are both in their early 30's believe it or not... and both like to think themselves 'GQ' material (HAH!) To be caught dead in a 'rented' tux and shoes is a complete NO-NO. Unfortuantely, as I mentioned earlier, when the guys previously donned their own tuxedo pants and shoes for another friends wedding - it was totally obvious that these two didn't match. (It was really only the pants that were different). Quite a few family members commented that they thought their childish behavior was disgraceful. Unfortunately, all the sympathy in the world can't change the bride and grooms wedding photos... Ah well, back to chanting 'Don't sweat the small stuff....'
