And that is why I make those types of appts REALLY early in the mornings.

I once had to do an upper GI scan. I had to fast for 12 hours prior. Only very little water was allowed. Nothing else. I walked into that doctors office and they had warm donuts and fresh favored coffees. God I think I was drooling. The nurse behind the desk offered me to sit and have something before she got my name. When I told her my name she said 'Oh, you can't eat, sorry'. Man it was the LONGEST half hour wait to be called in. I was STARVING! I didn't realize how you can actually smell warm icing versus powdered sugar.

And that WAS a morning appt. I had started my fasting at night so i could sleep through most of it. I couldnt imagine being awake and moving around without snacking on something!

I am drinking away. They stressed that I be well hydrated. I have to teach aerobics today too. Oh boy,,,bad idea

it makes you hungrier b/c it tricks your stomach into thinking that you're going to eat..

yup .. if i'm even a little hungry, the minute i put gum into my mouth my stomach starts growling.

huh. see I often find it surpresses my appetite, because I am crewing something other than food.

edited to add: all this time i might have ate unnecessarily without knowing it
